How Technology Has Changed.

Sets
1960-1980

1960-1968- Granada Television studios in Manchester
                    Sets reduced to ¾
                    Studio filming to location based filming realism and a sense of   verisimilitude
1967- Granada T.V. decided to build an outside set.
          New set was built on some old railway near Granada Studios.
          Editing improver
1968- Colours were brighter
          Street was real

1980- Present

1982- New set was built near interior, opened by Queen Elizabeth II
Late 80s- Film was switched to videotape
1982- 2 units’ garage and factory were built on site.
1999- Granada studios Closed and the exterior was extended and updated

Pole Cam
No.1 running soap uses one.
HD creates drama
